Mar 19, 2009 Thursday

5PM – ARRIVAL DRINKS

Join us in the Celebration Lounge underneath the Paradise Tower near the Tropicana’s front desk for early drinks (see map). This will be the main lounge for the rally, so start your drinking here. Arriving British will be upside down from a long flight and time difference, but most likely they will have enough strength for a beverage and conversation before passing out early.

8PM – CROWN AND ANCHOR RIDE

Meet up in the parking lot outside Garden 3 Wing/Entrance 7 of the Tropicana hotel (see map). This is where the scooters will be parked all weekend long. We will take a quick ride up the strip and loop around to the Crown and Anchor Pub for food and drinks. This Pub is not too far from the hotel, so those that want to cab over, it is only 2.6 miles.

11AM – RED ROCK/BONNIE SPRINGS RIDE

11AM – 5th ANNUAL NOHO SCOOTERS POKER TOURNAMENT

NoHo Scooters presents the third annual Scooterist Poker Tournament (location TBA). RSVPs are recommended, but not required. The casino needs an estimate of how many people are going to play, please email (mfrankovich@yahoo.com) or call Mike at 310-415-7042.

NOON – Go shooting at a nearby gun range.

4PM – SCOOT HAPPY HOUR AND RALLY PACKS/BRACELETS

Rally Packs, Swag, by the small pool near Entrance 7 (see map2). More info to come.

10PM-5AM – VEGAS ALL-NIGHTER

All-Nighter at The Aruba Hotel (1215 Las Vegas Boulevard - next to the Viva Las Vegas Wedding Chapel) 2 rooms of music - the Working Mans Pub will be spinning ska and scooter tunes and the Dance Hall will spin Northern Soul and Brit Pop. DJs from 5 countries will be rotating all night long. (Rally Bracelet or Door Cost: $10) Hosted by the Boston Stranglers A FREE shuttle bus will take people to and from the Aruba starting at 10PM from the Tropicana Front Desk. Last bus will leave the Aruba at 5AM (please tip the driver $1).

March 21, 2009 Saturday

10AM-1PM – SCOOTER SHOW/BUILD OFF COMPETITION

Shine and show your scooter, meet others, and get to watch the judging for this year's scooter awards and National Build-off Competition More info to come.

1PM – THE PIONEER SALOON/GOODSPRINGS RIDE

The locals can’t get enough of riding to the Pioneer for drinks. This is a 30mi(60mi r/t) non-highway ride to the Pioneer Saloon built in 1913 in Goodsprings, NV. Group ride begins from the Tropicana and goes to Jean, NV (22mi) on Las Vegas Blvd. There will be a gas stop in Jean. From Jean to Goodsprings, NV is a straight road with a slight uphill grade for 7mi with a posted speed of 55mph with no stops and little traffic. As always, the first person to the top of the hill will win the Heat Seized annual trophy. Relax at the Pioneer with some free beer from Heat Seized SC. Owners have built up this salon and now there is a little more to see and do.

5PM RETURN TO HOTEL AND FIND A GOOD MEAL

8PM-2AM+ THE VEGAS DO

This special main event will feature the amazing Dave Wakeling/English Beat playing his brand of original 2 tone music. We are very honored to have him play this event and Mr. Wakeling expressed his excitement to spend time with us also. In addition top UK DJs and other from around the world will spin tunes to pack the dance floor. Hosted by England's South West SC. (Rally Bracelet or Door Cost: $20).

Mar 22, 2009 Sunday

12 NOON - BOULDER CITY AND DAM RIDE

NEW STOPS ON THE RIDE THIS YEAR. TBA

3PM – LUNCH AND SCOOTER SHENANIGANS

Scoot or Shuttle over to Fred's Tavern (4680 S Decatur Blvd. 1 block off Tropicana) for BBQ, drinks, and outdoor scooter events. This is a new location for us and looks to be a great set-up with outdoor seating. It's a nice place to relax on Sunday. Also, Harbor Freight Tools is a couple doors down, so pick up some cheap tools to take back home with you. We had an amazing gymkana last year so this hopes to be as good or better. This DJed event includes competitions, HUGE raffle, and Vegas Rally Awards. The raffle will be held after awards and gymkhana. A shuttle bus will run from hotel to Freds every half hour 3pm to 7pm.

8PM – FOOD AND BREW IN A BAVARIAN BEER HALL

Gather at The Hofbrauhaus (4510 Paradise Road – across from the Hard Rock). Eat some fine German food and/or just drink traditional beers at the beer garden where the seating capacity is over 400 people. This was so much fun 2 years ago, the British requested doing it again.

11PM – DOUBLE DOWN YOUR LIVER

After the Hofbrauhaus, walk across the street to the famed Double Down Bar. Vegas’ best punk bar will host us and spin music.
