We will be staying at the famous Tropicana Casino, one of the most classic and notable hotels on the Vegas strip. When walking out the front door you are in the breath taking heart of the south side of the Las Vegas Blvd. This hotel has all the ammenities including an indoor/outdoor pool, so after booking take a look at their website for full details and maps.

Rooms

Our discounted room rate are $49 per night for Thursday and Sunday and $115 for Friday and Saturday and they have been nice enough to allow us to upgrade hotel rooms to the Paradise Tower for only $20 per night (fri/sat). To get the discount on the phone or using the above website, you MUST USE THE CODE SHRW309. For those bringing scooters we recommend staying in the Garden Rooms 3 (or 4), for those not bringing scooters we highly recommend the upgrade to the Paradise Tower. DO NOT BOOK Garden Rooms 5 or Island Tower, just too far to walk.

UPDATE: 12/15/08 - In consideration of the economic times, we went back to the Tropicana and asked if they could lower the room rates even more. Please remember we started negociating with them in February when the world was rosey. They suggested that it would be possible and then got back to us with new lower rates of $49 Thur/Sun and $115 Fri/Sat, an $80 savings for the 4 nights.

So anybody who has already booked at $69 and $135 WILL GET the new, lower rate, and anybody that does book WILL GET the lower rates. So no matter when you book, you will get the changed lower rates! The prices will be about the same as any online prices; and dont get fooled by those online brokers with their hidden fees. It may take a few days for the Tropicana to update their online booking system with the reduced rates.
